Jet FM

Jet Fm is a community based radio station that is working with the surrounding farming communities to entertain, inform and educate.

Jet Fm is located at 1732 feet above sea level in Top Road Jeffrey Town, St. Mary,  Jamaica. It is owned and operated by the Jeffrey Town Farmers Association Limited, and was launched on May 27, 2008.

It is the first established radio station in St. Mary and we broadcast on the frequency 88.7 fm – click here to listen. We operate 16 hours per day everyday from 6am till 10pm eastern standard time.

We are powered by wind and sun.

Our positive vibe is what makes us different from all the other radio stations we create our own programs and have won numerous awards for them too.

Jet Fm continues to make meaningful programming on climate change and adaptation, maternal health, social issues, matters directly related to farming and health programs. Newly added is the Jet Town Buzz drama series for 2013. We work voluntarily as a team to achieve and offer service.

We believe in upliftment and we use this medium to help make our community and parish better.

Schedule

First Flight: A magazine program featuring , programmes made for air by the jet fm team, gospel music from across the world and a live daily message from a selection of local pastors at 8am.

Jet Express: A music show featuring mainly modern music with minimal interaction. Except weekends where there is children’s time a ten am and the top ten for the week on Saturday, a current affairs review vintage music and children’s time feature on Sundays.

Jet Vybz: A magazine program featuring live interaction with a versatile DJ, story time, weekly new, horoscopes and local interviews. This show is the Hanger on Sunday and includes easy listening music and extended interview series with local icons called Conversations.

747: A music show which carries the early evening programmes made by the production team and current affairs interviews with local leaders and politicians and Sunday’s is lovers choice with smooth heartwarming music.
